It’s the final Countdown! *tootootooo doodoodoodooo tootoo-tooo doodoodoo* (apologies to ‘Europe’ fans)
Less than two weeks to go until 19 countries and 1500 paddlers descend on Penrith for the Dragonboat World Championships!
While many of you have been enjoying a nice (and dry) break from training, some of us have been training through the 5 degree temps, pouring rain, howling winds and dodging million dollar powerboats in a bid to win GOLD for Australia at the World Championships!
For the first time, Australia will be hosting the World DB Championships at the Olympic Regatta Centre at Penrith, from the Wednesday 19th September until Sunday 23rd September 2007.
So grab a crowd and come along to support your friends and country as we race to win GOLD! GOLD! GOLD! The racing commences on Thursday 20th til Sunday 23rd and the competition will be HOT! (and i’m not just talking about all the hot bodies…)
For more info on the races check out the website here.
