After 3 days of tough competition at the 2009 AusDBF National Dragonboat Championships in Kawana Waters on the Sunshine Coast, the PD’s have grabbed an unprecedented 9 gold medal wins – clean-sweeping all the Premier events (Mixed, Opens and Womens – 200m, 500m and 2km) at the club vs club championships. The team has performed well all season, however had never imagined such a succesful campaign at the National Titles.
All crews faced tough competition, particularly from the ACT Ice Dragons, BRD, and other local clubs but managed to pull out the goods in the final races. Stay tuned for race reports, full results and photos!
