Our boys take on Macau!

Yesterday six PDs flew out as part of the Australian mens crew to compete at the Macau Dragon Boat festival held tomorrow. So good luck to:

Adam King, Chris "Magoo" McGowan, Geoff Eldridge, Kaizer Austin, Mark Tomkins and Richard "The Professor" Thompson.

This is a very competitive regatta with some red hot teams expected from Mainland China, Philippines, Hong Kong and of course Macau. So we wish our boys the very best of luck. It is held on the same course where we successfully competed in the Asian Championships last year (it’s in the centre of town – imagine a purpose-built course at Darling Harbour). I’ll send out results when I get them from Zeus.

FYI – The team is made comprised of Premier and Master paddlers from the AusSquad. They were very excited and looked resplendent in their cork hats at the airport!

PS – Kaizer would like to rub in that the forecast for Macau was plus 28 degrees and 80% humidity! Well, at least I think we can match the moisture content in the air…
